WATCH: Should Hull's Oumar Niasse have seen red?
Oumar Niasse was given his marching orders less than half an hour into the clash between Hull and Watford. But was referee Bobby Madley wrong to brandish the red card?
After a fairly even opening, both Niasse and AC Milan-loanee M'Baye Niang approached a loose ball in the middle of the park; a lift of the leg from the former was perhaps the slight movement that sealed his fate.
The studs on his boots were undoubtedly raised, but Niasse had his eyes on the ball and the contact on Niang's shin was minimal at best, though the midfielder's reaction would suggest otherwise.
